During a job interview, does ';we've got a few more people to interview'; basically mean you didn't get the job?

I've had quite a few job interviews lately and it seems like MOST of the time when an employer gives me the phrase, ';we've got a few more people to interview,'; I don't get a job offer. Is this phrase basically the ';kiss of death'; from a potential employer?
